CURRENT BEAUTY FAVES

CURRENT BEAUTY FAVES

I am in no way an expert when talking about skin-care products but I know and feel what is right for my skin. The ones pictured there are the latest products I added to my daily routine, which I actually really enjoy.

As already posted, Nuxe is one of the brands I go for ( their Huile Prodigeuse is an amazing must-have for both hair and skin ) so I decided to try-out their Nirvanesque soothing cream, made with peony and blue lotus seeds that helps the skin in being more relaxed and moisturized. It also else with the first wrinkles… it’s never too early! I generally use it during the morning but sometimes at night too.

During the last month I have been introduced to an Italian beauty brand called FaceD which I never really known before. I now use their fast anti-dark circles eye cream every morning, and it do help in opening and giving more light to the eye-area. I also added the pure plump hyaluronic acid that It’s a real boost of hydration for the skin.

Last but not least it’s the Hydra-Essentiel lip balm from Clarins. It’s a nice way of moisturizing and replenishing the lips during these winter months.

ROMA

ROMA

Spent a few days in Roma with my friends to celebrate the New Years Eve. Such amazing sunny days filled with good food and laughter. Also, let me suggest you Museo Canova Tadolini, a restaurant-museum in which you can try Roma’s traditional delicatessen surrounded by amazing sculptures. So much love.

IT’S PARTY SEASON

IT’S PARTY SEASON

It’s almost mid December now. This means party season has officially started and this also means it’s time to start choosing the right and appropriate look to be the star of the said parties. Generally all we think about is glitter, sequins, satin, jewels and much more too.

Here below some of the the nicest pieces out there:

  1. GLOW DROPS,  Barbara Sturm – The name says it all, it’s a moisturizer able to give a healthy glow, that can be used over the makeup or combined with one’s skincare routine. How to be radiant shine keeping the skin hydrated.
  2. GOLD DIAMOND CLIP EARRING, Ole Lynggard Copenhagen – such an unique piece of of fine jewelry entirely handcrafted by a team of 45 smiths at the label’s atelier. This says it all, a piece able to make the whole look all by itself.
  3. OPEN BACK SEQUINED SATIN GOWN, Galvan – Long gown with opened back that will make everyone head’s turn.
  4. ASYMMETRIC SILK-SATIN SKIRT, Vince – Midi wrap-effect skirt with slit on the side. So elegant, simple but perfect paired with a oversized sweater and sparkling accessories.
  5. CINDY FEATHER&VELVET CLUTCH, The Volon – the perfect piece to leave hanging on your hand while you run to the next party.
  6. VINYL LIP LACQUER “AT FIRST SIGHT”, Nars – The ideal product to be on your lips, it can be worn both on bare lips or on another shade to add some shine. Can’t go wrong with some pearlescent gold shimmer.

LIGHTS ON HOUSE OF DAGMAR

LIGHTS ON HOUSE OF DAGMAR

AW18 runaway, buyable on houseofdagmar.com

It’s a fact you already know, I feel inspired by everything that’s Scandinavian. Fashion is no less interesting. As posted ( here here here and also here) the creations of brands based in Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm are always up-to-date and fun. Fabrics and patterns used are pretty often their key points.

House of Dagmar is defintely interesting.

Based in the Swedish capital, the brand was launched in the spring of 2005 by three sisters, Karin Söderlind, Kristina Tjäder and Sofia Wallenstam, to carry forward the legacy of their fashionable tailor grandmother, from who was inspired its name: Dagmar. Their aim is to keep alive the sense of quality and ambition that was so dear to her and that can help in the process of establishing a timeless offer in the industry.

The brand has now become a cult thanks to its sporty and vaguely eccentric feel. It creates sustainable ( sustainability is in fact fundamental for the owners ) and expressive collections with knitwear at the very core. Each garment shows Dagmar’s design language, giving the pieces a strong personality, and therefore continuing to be wearable, year after year.
