BRANDS I LOVE

HVN

Morgan heart-print silk long dress / Josephine floral-print silk long dress / Maria cherry-print cotton-blend dress / Nora floral-print silk slip dress

Dresses inspired by vintage closets. Luxurious fabrics. Different prints, motifs and colors. Ginghams, cherries and flowers. Those are the key elements that makes HVN the brand it is. HVN is all about Harley Viera Newton: it’s owner, creator and one of the coolest women around. She lets her designs talk for her and what she loves… the outcome it’s amazing.

KALEOS EYEHUNTERS

Dunnage 2 / Shawer 2 / Lund 2 / Everdeen 3

Sunglasses have always been fundamental in my every-day looks, as they can be bold and eye-catching giving to the most simple white t-shirt and jeans combination a twist. Kaleos Eyehunters has definitely a huge selection of amazing eyewear that I would buy right away. thanks to the always present and well balanced mix of design, fashion and luxury.

RIXO LONDON

Iris Mini Wrap Dress / Georgia Midi Skirt With Slits /  Twiggy Cowl Neck Mini Dress / Mila Halter Neck Bikini Top + Bora High Waisted Bikini Bottom

Founded in 2015 by two alumni of the London College of Fashion, it reflects their deep appreciation of all the things that are vintage. It’s a brand that wants to “ shoot for the stars and has no plans of falling short “, that I quote directly from the owners. Stars, constellations and planets are also the main subjects of the ” Cosmic Costellation” collection. Smooth and classic lines define all their pieces: from dresses, skirts to blouses and swimwear … they offer the ideal vibes for this year’s summer getaways.

DANSE LENTE

Young brick / Mia blush red brown / Mini Jhonny white blush

Danse Lente, which means Slow Dance in French, is a handbags and small leather London based brand. Their vision is highly modern; structured bags with clear and geometrical lines. They offer a wide range of styles and colors, but their soft clear color ( together with the reds ) are the ones that immediately got my attention.

SWIMWEAR

SWIMWEAR

Classic shapes and cuts, simple colors and styles is what I have in mind for swimwear this year. Spring is finally here and I’ve found myself wondering about putting on a bikini or a one piece and peacefully relax by the sea… that’s something that I didn’t long for that much until a few years ago. Sadly I have to wait quite a few months ( hopefully ) before I will be able to enjoy the sun during long relaxing days like the ones I am dreaming of! So I did a bit of research and found four pieces that matches my mood:

From left to right: Ephemera‘s laced-back swimsuit / Matteau‘s the Crop bikini top + the Classic bikini briefs / Solid & Striped‘s the Michelle cherry-print swimsuit / Marysia Swim’s Antibes scallop-edged bandeau bikini top Antibes swimmer-print scallop-edged bikini briefs

BOYY BAGS

BOYY BAGS

From top to bottom, left to right:  KARL 24 in Rose Dust, ROMEO in Toy, FRED in Sunrise and DEVON in Suede Sage.

BOYY is an international brand launched in 2006 by designers Jesse Dorsey and Wannasiri Kongman. You surely already saw this brand plenty of times, both on magazines and social media.. lots of amazing pics can be found mostly on Instagram! What gets me of all the BOYY bags is the well defined structure, the usage of different materials, such as the black suede lining that can be found in almost all their models, and also the statement frontal flap closure.

As the designer themselves say their philosophy “has always been that a women’s accessory should have a masculine feel, balancing out a woman’s femininity, sort of a yin-yang thing…” and that’s actually what makes them so cool and unique.

Lately I’ve been dreaming of adding one of them to my collection, its just so hard to choose among all the models and nuances offered!

KITTEN HEELS

KITTEN HEELS

From top to bottom: Ruched satin mules from Marco De Vincenzo / Stripes slingback from Zara / Crystal slingback from Mango

Kitten hells can be loved or hated, there’s no in between. I have to say that, even tough iI didn’t actually consider this kind of heel in past years, I’ve found myself literally wanting to buy lots of them, they are classy but not too hard to walk in. Above I’ve selected three different pairs, from slingbacks to mules, that you can find in stores right now and that I would love to add in my closet.

Let’s chat a bit in the comment section: do you like them? do you already own a pair? and how would you wear them? Right now i’d go for a classic pair of blue jeans and white shirt …And if the weather won’t allow us to wear them barefoot, then wearing them with plain black socks or glittery socks is definitely an option!

IETS FRANS

IETS FRANS

Belt from Iets Frans / Vintage mom jeans from Diesel / Jacket from Aspesi Blu / Turtleneck from United Colors of Benetton

Belts over jackets are surely a thing right now. Got my Iets Frans belt in Urban Outfitters, after being in my wishlist just for a short while; you can also find it in other different variations such as this one that I like very much too. Paired it with a fluffy white jacket from Aspesi that has a short classic cut: the combo makes the jacket a little more sporty, also thanks to the jeans I decided to wear. A white turtleneck finished the look, keeping it all very light and matchy.

SPRING VIBES WITH GANNI

SPRING VIBES WITH GANNI

Harley Crepe Wrap Dress / Lilou Shoes / May Sunglasses / Joycedale Shirt / Harway T-shirt, Happy Endings / Dubois Polo Pants & Dubois Polo Blouse / Classon Embroidery Ankle Socks, Banana / Orsay Purse

Easy-to-wear pieces that can be worn in every single occasion is what the Copenhagen based company Ganni offers. Founded in 2000 and run by Ditte and Nicolaj Reffstrup, it is absolutely one of my fave brands: from their dresses to trousers and accessories they always give cool pieces with a twist of Scandinavian vibes.

Todays is again not a so sunny day, so here I am dreaming about wearing all of these pieces that are mostly from their new S/S 18 collection. As you can see floral patterns and bold colors are surely a must for the months ahead of us. The wrap dress is effortlessly chic thanks to its design and details such as the concealed waist belt and the little black line on the sleeves. Keeping up with the flower power, I opted for the Joycedale Shirt in this light blue tone that screams spring everywhere… and again, I love the details! Such as the pocket on the chest and the hidden buttons. Last but not least, the little bucket got immediately my attention!

Ganni is really known for its statement t-shirts, such as their banana one, and between their new ones the Happy Endings is definitely  the one I would buy first both for its colors and the font used. Moving on to the shoes and socks… they can may be a nice combo together too, sometimes is nice to be a little bold with colors and patterns!
Last but not least, the pink items! I am a sunglasses lover, in every shapes and colors… this acetate pair is so cute. The Dubois Polo  Blouse outfit is ideal for a cool day off, either paired with pink shoes like in the picture above or even just with black or white sneakers.
